Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation

The Pete du Pont Freedom Award is named after one of Delaware’s most distinguished leaders. As Governor of Delaware, Presidential candidate, founder of GOPAC, scholar at the Hudson Institute and the Council for National Center for Policy Analysis and as a spokesman and writer, Pete du Pont has been a national leader in the cause of preserving and enhancing individual freedoms. The award is given to an accomplished world citizen who, like Pete du Pont, has demonstrated a life-long leadership commitment to the same cause. It is presented in person to the recipient at the Pete du Pont Freedom Award event, at which time the recipient will give a guest lecture on individual freedom.
